Our Impact Collectives : Driving Gender Equity in Tech

Closing the opportunity gap in the tech sector is one of our most urgent challenges. Today, women represent less than 30% of the tech workforce, with even lower representation in high-level engineering and technical roles. The Simplon Foundation is taking a bold stand to change this narrative by supporting inclusive tech collectives led by and for women. These initiatives provide spaces for mentorship, visibility, and mobilization—encouraging new career paths, celebrating success stories, and dismantling systemic stereotypes. Every day, we prove that a more equitable digital world is within our reach.

Women & Girls in Tech

A collective to accelerate gender equity in tech

Les Intrépides de la tech

Driving Gender Equity in Technology

Launched in late 2019, Tech Intrepid's (Les Intrépides de la Tech) is a mission-driven collective dedicated to closing the gender gap in tech, with a primary focus on empowering young girls. Our mission: dismantle gender stereotypes from an early age and pave the way for equitable access to digital careers.

Through hands-on classroom workshops, female role model mentorships, and accessible educational programming, we reach thousands of students annually from elementary through high school across the country, including underserved rural communities.

Co-founded by the Simplon Foundation and supported by a robust network of public and private partners, the coalition is built for systemic transformation. By aligning with local governments, educators, and corporate leaders, Tech Intrepid's (Les Intrépides de la Tech)is a catalyst for action, ensuring the future of technology is built by everyone, for everyone.

Accelerating Representation

Established in 2019, the Women & Girls in Tech collective brings together over 60 corporations, non-profits, institutions, and training providers with one shared goal: to trigger a true transformation for gender equity in tech careers.

Managed by the Simplon Foundation, WoGiTech operates as a collaborative Innovation Labwhere partners pool resources, expertise, and action. From "Booster Days" to immersive bootcamps, the collective acts both externally (at major tech conferences) and internally (within companies through executive mentorship and digital fluency tools).

WoGiTech does more than just raise awareness: it offers concrete, field-tested solutions to support companies in their cultural transformation. The goal is clear: to make the tech industry a more equitable, representative, and sustainable space.

"Inclusive and equitable tech is not an option; it is a lever for social transformation, innovation, and corporate performance."
